In the third quarter of 2024, the top News and Magazines applications in Ireland exhibited varied trends across downloads and active user metrics, according to Sensor Tower data.

RTÉ News saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 1.7K in late July, while its weekly active users hovered around 70K, showing some variation throughout the quarter.

For BBC: World News & Stories, downloads experienced a decline from 1K in early July to about 400 by the end of September. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, with a slight peak to 15.2K in early September.

Podcast Player maintained a modest presence with weekly downloads stabilizing around 200-300. Active users showed a consistent trend, averaging around 2K throughout the quarter, with occasional small upticks.

Good Food: Recipe Finder displayed a notable revenue pattern, starting strong with over $2.7K in early July, dipping mid-quarter, and climbing back to $2.7K by the end of September. Downloads ranged from around 150 to 600, with active user numbers peaking at 3.8K in early September.

Finally, Sky News: Breaking, UK & World showed a steady download rate, concluding the quarter with a rise to over 500 downloads in late September. The active user base remained consistent, with slight variations, averaging around 25K.
